Meet Victoria Lee, a 16-year-old martial arts prodigy perhaps set to become the next MMA world champion, as she displays her incredible talent in Mililani, Hawaii.
Last month the high school student and MMA fighter signed with ONE Championship, a move that has drawn criticism as some regard it as unsafe for her to fight at such an advanced level with adults.
Lee said, ”although I feel some people are a bit surprised by the fact, I do believe that being able to compete in the professional competition should be based on skills, not age.”
The Singapore-based Canadian-Hawaiian fighter grew up in a family of martial artists, which according to Victoria comes with added pressure and expectations.
Her older sister Angela is the women’s atomweight world champion, while her brother Christian is the lightweight world champion, both of whom are also signed with ONE.
Victoria said however she is not interested in becoming a world champion herself.
